You Are Not Alone

 You Are Not Alone

You are not alone–

For God is with you.

You are not defenseless–

For God is your protector.

You are not inadequate–

For God is your sufficiency.

You are not useless–

For God has a purpose for your life.

You are not worthless–

For God sent His Son to die for you.

You are not without hope–

For God has a place prepared for you.

You are not unloved–

For God loves you with an everlasting love.

You are not rejected, or abandoned–

For God calls you His own.

“I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” So we can say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”

Hebrews 13:5 NLT

Thank you. It is knowing who God is that truly strengthens, comforts, and ministers in the midst of a trial. It is the most meaningful to know Him.

Thank you so much for this . . . I had just finished emailing a distant friend, and after telling him about my difficulties with finding nursing care for my Mom, commented, “I feel so alone in all this.”
I then logged off, and saw your subject line, “You are not alone.” I appreciate the reminder. God bless you!

Good words…all true. This I know in my mind. However, some seasons are so dark, you can’t feel them, or see light in any direction. It’s times like these when words alone are not enough. When life leaves you physically alone for the majority of the time, knowing God is with you is nice, but to feel the touch and see face to face caring of another becomes more necessary than many realize. It’s very difficult to depend on those promises of God, when there’s very little tangible evidence. I don’t turn away from Him, my mind knows He’s not turned away from me, but my heart doesn’t know it.

It seems the Lord, always has something to say to you, in perfect timing.

They forget Hebrews 13:5 NLT. I know im not alone today, My father is not alone, all you have to do is just Belive. You will never be alone again…
Thanks and God Bless… Min. Lou

Thanks for this message! I am serving the Lord in south east asia and our group is facing an extremely difficult experience. At times it feels like we are alone. God seems silent. We feel so helpless. The situation feels like its going from bad to worse. This devotional was another of God’s messages to me that give me strength to face another day and at times even just another hour. Thank you for being used by Him to encourage others.

    Thank you for this message
I have just been thinking about what to prepare for the next Ladies’ session I lead on Wednesday. If I may, I would like to use this poem and verse as several of them live alone or are frail and it seems so apt.

  27. Fatima July 19, 2010 at 6:10 AM #

Its funny sometimes the way God works. Just when we think we are alone, He brings something to us, maybe a word, a hug from a friend, or something else to remind us tha we are not alone, but He ia always there with us even when we don’t feel it.
I’m going through avery trying period in my life, and i’m so far away from my family. I’ve cried and asked God why He allowed what happened to happen, but i’m getting no answers yet! One thing i do know for sure is that He is aware of all that is going on, and He is taking me through it.
Roy’s word today, was just timely, cos that the fiest thing that popped up on my screen when i opened the computer. God is only confirming to me what i prayed about this morning, That He will never leave me or forsake me.

This is so encouraging! I’m currently going through chemo treatments for breast cancer. I had BC also in 2006 but didn’t have to have treatments. I have had 2 mastectomies and the treatments begin to take a toll on my emotions and my body. I have 6 more treatments to go, but I know God is in control and He uses people like you and your encouragement to reinforce His Power, Love and Mercy and Grace. Thank you so much for being an “encourager” of the Lord.

My husband and I are talking divorce. I don’t have any family. I’m 60 years old and so afraid to start over. I get through the days on my knees. Five minutes at a time.
Thanks so much for your message even though I am blubbering like a baby right this minute. Someone else understands this pain and believes as I do that God is the only way I’ll get through it.

  31. Paula July 19, 2010 at 8:26 AM #

I was so touched by this…I am in that point of slowly thinking about suicide because I have been out of employment for almost two years now and my unemployment benefit stopped. I’m scared that before 2010 is over, we might be in foreclosure. I know I am not alone in this kind of situation and my case is not unique but I can not find solace in that line of thought. Somehow, when I read these lines, it gave me back the strenght and hope that GOD is still out there….Hopefully, it will not be too late and I would be able to find a job. God have mercy.

“You Are Not Alone” comes at a very special time. My mother has been on my mind a great deal. she and I are separated by nearly coast to coast and she lives alone with my brother and his family not far away. She has given up on God many years ago and I would love to share this message with her however she does not have a computer and I have no printer. How may I go about sending this to her? Thank you for this meeting in the meadow.

I just found In The Meadow and I am so glad I did. God has been trying to let me know that I am not alone in so many ways. Circumstances in my life seem overwhelming right now, but I know God is with me. I asked Him recently for a place of safety and rest. In The Meadow is such an answer to prayer. I thank God that He has obviously given you the gift of encouragement. May you perceive God’s caring Presence in times you really need Him just as as you have allowed His love to encourage others through you.
