Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for. Hebrews 11:1 NRSV
Worry enters in when faith (the watchman of my heart) turns its attention away from what God can do and places its focus on what I can do. Faith is the assurance that God can do anything; worry quickly lets me know that I can never do enough.
“God is love,” and “love never fails.” The lamp will not die out at midnight. The fountain will not fail us in the wilderness. The consolations will not be wanting in the hour of our distress. Love will have all things ready. “He has promised and will He not do it?” All the powers of heaven are pledged to the fulfillment of the smallest word of grace…
What I shall need is already foreseen, and foresight with the Lord means forethought and provision. Every hour gives the loyal disciples surprises of grace.
-J. H. Jowett
God hath His mountains bleak and bare,
Where He doth bid us rest awhile;
Crags where breathe a purer air,
Lone peaks that catch the day’s first smile.
-Unknown
How safe, then, must they be who are under the wing of the God of Jeshurun (Deu.33:26); who find Him reconciled to them by the death of His Son, and feel themselves reconciled to Him by the power of His grace. “He rideth on the heavens for their help,” and none can outstrip His progress, or overturn His purpose. Verily He it is that giveth strength and victory to His people; blessed be God.
-Carl Bogatzky

Good insights…we worry because we have forgotten where we have put our hope. Where else could we go but to God when life overwhelms. We could stay in the pit of despair and continue with our worry; but this is not where God wants us. When trouble comes we just let go of the worry rope and fall into the arms of Jesus. It is the only way. I have worried and know there are no answers there – but that they come straight from God. No one can help us through those times of worry and despair but GOD ALMIGHTY. Thank you Jesus. Doris
I’m working attentiously to not let worries dominate my 2013. I decide trust in God no matter what. I need to write this devotional in my chosen devotionals from your blog, pastor. Thank you so much for reminding me of God and that He is love that never fails.
I really feel thankful to get time to meditate God’s Words this year.
The most valuable gift from this year is to get this.
Thank God and Jesus and Dayspring!
The life with this devotionals will be no worry though there are many worries.
