Pray this…

Prayer of believing

Lord, I thank You that believers are receivers and that You are the giver of every good and perfect gift. I thank You that through believing I receive Jesus, salvation, peace, joy, answered prayer, and the power to live a life that pleases You.

Lord, make me a believer who continues to believe, a follower who continues to follow, and a servant who to continues to serve. May my belief and trust in You never become a thing of the past. May I never look back or refer to my walk of faith as the “Good old days.” Keep me ever growing, ever moving on in You, ever pressing into Your heart…move me from faith to faith and glory to glory.

May I be a believer who believes Your word and trusts it; who sees Your path and follows it; who knows Your strength and counts upon it; who hears Your voice and follows it; who leans upon You and never pulls away.

Lord, when I obey You, may it be with the belief that Your ways are best; when I worship You, may it be with the belief that You are wholly worthy; when I obey You, may it be with the belief that You will never fail. Help me, Father, not to partially believe, but to fully believe; not to occasionally believe, but to consistently believe; not to reluctantly believe, but to enthusiastically believe.

I pray that what I confess with my mouth will be in agreement with what I believe in my heart. I ask that my life will be a daily witness to the world that I am a believer in your Son, Jesus Christ.

Well, this made me cry….FOR JOY!! To know how completely and utterly without any reserve, my Jesus loves me. Of course, it took my breath away…the very first words…every perfect gift comes from the Father….and I cried…and farther down where He died for me and loved me no matter what I did, what I am doing and or what I will do that would disappoint Him….I am loved.

I am responsible..or I should act responsible…I am accountable or I should be accountable….I have a destiny and purpose all because He loved me FIRST.

Like I said…I am crying…I am moved to the point of having my breath taken away by the sheer thought of it….doesn’t the Person you truly love …take your breath away….

Thank you for today’s devotion…I must share it with so many….and as one of the winners of your online devotional book….” Today is your Best Day”….well, I guess without any devotional book in front of me today….today is my BEST DAY!!
