Friend

FrenchLick.mjb1a
I have called you friends. John 15:15 NKJV

A stranger may walk behind you,
But I am your Friend, and walk beside you;

A stranger may be unfamiliar with your ways,
But I am your Friend, and know your heart;

A stranger may be indifferent to your needs,
But I am your Friend, and care about you;

A stranger may not know how you feel,
But I am your Friend, and share your joy and sorrows;

A stranger may keep things from you,
But I am your Friend, and freely give you My love;

A stranger may not linger long in your presence,
But I am your Friend, and will be with you always.

    It was so good to read this today. It remind me of the many times I have referred to Jesus as my best friend. Whenever, someone ask me if I know or believe in Jesus, I tell them yes I know Jesus,,,,”He is my best friend”.

    Years ago when I accepted Christ, I recall being shocked to read in the Bible that Jesus considered me as his friend. I said “Lord I know the song says what a friend we have in Jesus but I never realized you consider us or me as your friend as well”.

    So now, I live each day knowing I have a friend in Jesus and he considers me as his friend as well and that’s a wonderful feeling to survive upon in this hard and harsh world that we live in.
