God Has Promised

Hi there,

There are times in our lives where we’ve faced valleys of uncertainty, fear, and doubt.  While trials test the strength of our faith, one thing that is certain is that God has promised He will always be there to carry us through.

To remind us of these promises of God’s faithfulness, Roy has compiled a special collection of Scripture to help focus our faith on God’s grace and mercy in our time of need. The new Booklet is called, God Has Promised: Scriptures of Comfort and Hope for Difficult Times.

Here is a note from Roy that shares the personal circumstances that helped create the collection of Scripture found in God Has Promised:

When I was in my thirties, I walked through an unexpected and very difficult situation. Medical testing revealed I had a tumor in my lung that was in a very dangerous location. As a result, most of my left lung would need to be removed. During the time that preceded the surgery, I began an in-depth reading of the Psalms. It was through this time that the Holy Spirit spoke many words of comfort and hope that strengthened me and provided the reassurance of the Lord’s presence in the midst of it all.

It has been my desire for many years to publish these Scriptures as a collection, along with others that have helped me walk through other trials, so that they can be easily shared with others who are facing various difficulties in their own lives. God Has Promised is the fulfillment of that desire.

It is important to know what God has promised, so we can know what our hearts need to believe. These promises are arranged into 16 key topics that focus on specific needs in our lives. These include such topics as God’s grace, covering, comfort, care, help, peace, victory, strength, blessing, and hope. We pray that you will be blessed as you read God’s promises and feed upon them, believe in them, and receive them into your heart.

When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Jeremiah 15:16 NLT

You can find God Has Promised: Scriptures of Comfort and Hope for Difficult Times here at DaySpring.com for only $4.99. If you’d like to purchase more than 10 copies to share with others, the Devotional Booklet is discounted to $3.99 each.

This booklet is also available as a PDF download for $3.99. Click here to view this format.

This month, we’ll be featuring a couple downloadable prints for you to share and display, as well as a giveaway of the booklet! It’s our prayer that this collection of Scripture will minister to you during life’s uncertainties. We also hope that it is a resource for you to share with friends or family members when they face moments of hardship and are in need of reassurance from the written Word.

God bless you this week– may you recognize and rest in all that God has Promised for you!

Thank you for the following opening to today’s Meet Me in the Meadow:

“There are times in our lives where we’ve faced valleys of uncertainty, fear, and doubt. While trials test the strength of our faith, one thing that is certain is that God has promised He will always be there to carry us through.”

My husband and I are indeed in a valley right now. A wonderful Christian sister-in-law just died suddenly yesterday. The whole family is in shock. Then we continue to financially, emotionally, and spiritually support 2 men in prison (they are Believers now and witnessing for Jesus each and every day) and we have another one of them home with us now from prison, going to church and college and doing wonderful, including witnessing for Jesus to former drug friends AND to his own mother. BUT it’s still a valley because we’ve taken out a major loan against our house to uphold all of these men, including the wife of one who became a Christian after her husband went into prison. She wanted what he had, a Personal Savior! We take her regularly to church and even take her to dinner with us so we have extra fellowship time. We also used part of that loan to prevent her and her husband from losing THEIR house. We’ve had our wonderful days, but those valleys keep coming and we’re in one now. That’s why I so appreciated this morning’s opening words in Meet Me in the Meadow.

When I speak to Him today, I’ll be sure to put in an extra word for you, your husband and the people you support. God bless. :)

Thank you so much Roy for putting this into published form. We have a very difficult situation with our son and his wife and two daughters – they are devastated as are we. A similar one has since happened to the sister of one of my dear friends at Church and she too finds it hard to know what to say – prayer has been a huge help. i know for ourselves this will be a huge inspiration after reading today’s message. I am sure it will encourage them also. When I was in hospital I found that Psalms was the most encouraging book. You cannot concentrate when you are in a tough health situation and I knew the treatment that I was having could either leave me deaf or damage my kidneys. I clung to verses from Psalms – especially Psalm 62. God speaks through His Word. We had a repeat situation with 10 more days where I did the same. God was gracious and again it was through Psalms that I was encouraged. have a prayer partner who has far worse problems – spinal, severe PTSD following a horrific accident, now living in constant pain. She also leans on God’s word hard, but to have a book compiled to just read Scriptures that have encouraged you in your huge situation to give to othere will be a wonderful blessing to them as well myself. Thank you for your regular messages. May God continue to use you to bless others as He has blessed me through you.
