Deeper and Higher!

02172014.mmitm.mjb

And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:6-7 NKJV

As you walk with Jesus, He will daily call you to go deeper into the river of His love. He wants you to know the greater depths of His goodness and graciousness to you in every detail of life. His heart says to you, “Come follow Me, I have so much to reveal to you about who I am, there is so much more for your heart to know.”

When you hear the call of Jesus to go deeper, it also means that He wants you to know the heights to which you have already been taken. His word declares that you were raised up with Him and seated with Him in heavenly places, at the right hand of the Father. You cannot be in a higher place, for you are in Him, and He is above all.

To be seated with Him means that you are in the place of His rest and the place of His victory. His call to you is not “work hard to get to where I am” but rather, “live today where I have placed you—alive in Me, and seated with Me by My Father’s right hand (Ephesians 2:5-6).  You are free from every bondage that would keep you from Me.”

Today, in Jesus, you have been taken to better things, to higher ground, to truer treasures, to greater riches, and to the sweetest fellowship of all that is found in His presence.

Today I’m pressing on to higher ground, to enjoy the rest and victory in my Lord Jesus. Your words are so uplifting and give me the incentive to keep my focus on the deeper things of God that Christ may be glorified in my living.

In times past, I was taught to “work hard for The Lord” that I may be acceptable to Him. May God bless you for teaching the Truth of God’s word. I thank God each day for the gift of His grace.

Yes, I’m deep deep in the very heart of Christ JESUS and standing solidly on the ROCK of my Salvation with arm uplifted high high trusting in JESUS holding me all together up high high high in the very depths of who HE is.
